4. The family

Many of us agree that nothing is more important than family. In Iceland, families can take many different forms and are often very diverse.

What matters most is not what a family looks like, but that it is built on love, respect and a sense of security. Family is often where we learn to trust, support one another and face life’s challenges.

This section covers the school system, leisure activities, wellbeing, equality and safety, as well as other topics relevant to parents and others who work with or care for children and young people.
